Pastor Gary Pope-Sears walks us through several passages that use the word "therefore," reminding us that we have been justified in the eyes of God through Christ Jesus. He encourages us to accept the hope of Jesus' resurrection and allow that hope to strengthen us on our spiritual journey.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Rev. Gary Pope-Sears begins his message by reminding us it's okay to not be okay! He reminds us that the peace and hope we receive from God doesn't keep us from experiencing hardships and struggles, but instead, like athletic training, produces endurance and spiritual strength. Gary encourages us to commit to "discipleship training" through prayer, Bible Study, fellowship, and service.

For her closing message, Rev. Karen Ballard explores the Biblical command to "be strong and courageous" despite the storms and challenges of life. She reminds us that our strength comes directly from our knowledge of God's truth, which is gleaned through our study of Scripture. Like Pastor Gary's Sunday morning message, she points us towards deeper spiritual practice during the season of Lent.
